Howdy, CAS Faculty and Staff,
As Dean Burggren sometimes remarks, "This is a new campus" and, as Presiden
t Bataille mentioned at Tuesday's convocation, "Sometimes change can be goo
d."
It may prove helpful for you to briefly review a slide presentation I did l
ast month. Some slide items which people hired before 2006 may find enligh
tening, productive, and/or convenient:
* Get routine notifications before your EUID password expires
* Process your "spam" mailbox every 14 days to limit "lost" email
* Access your email from off-campus via the Web and "smartphones"
* Update your files from off-campus via the Web and "VPN"
* Maintain back-ups for data you store locally
* Contact us for help before working on IT-related grants and/or projects
Reveal "speaker notes" by hovering your mouse over the comment balloons, wh
ich exist in the top left corner of many slides: http://www.cascss.unt.edu/=
